Just booked this flight on PAL site - MEL-PEK Aug 17 / PVG-MEL Aug 25 - Mabuhay Class both ways - $1,682.44

Deal?...........or not a Deal?

Looks damn good. Is pricing the same ex Syd as well. I've got to be in China in a few months... Even without SC earning that wins hands down!

I am in Melb so didn't check ex Syd - was kinda interesting - open jaw into PEK out of PVG $600 cheaper than MEL-PVG / PVG-MEL - go figure.

Great Price!

Just be aware that, while PAL is great at featuring their new Business Class (Mabuhay) seat in all their advertising, you may encounter their old version (my pics below), as I did on a 747 a few months ago.

But still, I would have no hesitations at that price, particularly after the Qantas Chairman & CEO gave a free kick away to their competitors, by removing "Platinum Anytime Access"!

Thanks for your thoughts dk but I have flown them several times before - I am under no illusions on the standard of product I will be encountering - but for $1,682 I am not expecting SQ, QF or CX.

$1,682 < > $8,277 (QF site same dates) - that's why I don't fly QANTAS.

I should add that Best Flights have same itinerary showing for $2,787 I think from memory.

YES - but i think I saw in T & C's that these discounts expire 30/06/2011 - but who would know with PAL.
