Daylight Saving

Down here in Melbourne, at the winter solstice, the Sun rises ~¼ to 8am and sets ~¼ past 5pm - I leave home ~7:15am and return ~6:30pm.

So, I never "see" the sun in Winter and permanent DS would make little difference; that would mean a day of ~¼ to 9am to ~¼ past 6pm.

I am currently in NSW, hope this doesn't fade the paint work on my car too much.

Said as one of the narrow minded people who oppose daylight saving in QLD.

I don't care either way

I guess you are right. It would be much easier to turn the earth on its axis.

Can you tell I hate short days? I only sleep for 6-7 hours a night and anymore darkness is wasted. I don't care how hot it gets....
