Dallas Fort Worth Airport Question

We have had Aaward tickets NRT-DFW-xx_ on a few occasions. We have not yet had long queues when coming off the NRT flight. We usually have ~ 2 hours between flights and have not missed one yet.
If the NRT plane was late then on the same PNR AA would just put you on a later flight and no problems with missing a segment.
We have had an experience with a RTW QFF award and missed flights. We were booked on AA CDG-JFK.The French as they are inclined to do put on a general strike that day and our flight was cancelled..As you can imagine CDG was a shambles that day.The Aagent got us booked on flights CDG-MIA-LGA for later that day, told us to go to the lounge and she would inform the staff there as to our problems as this was a QFF award. The lounge Aangel spent considerable time but finally got us on the later CDG-JFK flight, had emailed QF and got a reply that she printed out for us saying our future segments were OK.

You and JohnPhelan have put my mind at ease, drron. The wisdom of AFF prevails again - thanks. :p

While the longer the better I can report last month I went through Dallas to Cancun on AA in 35 minutes from inside one plane to inside the next and with a bathroom stop between terminals. They have it down to a fine art.

Come in back was via Miami, less than two hours from landing to being on the next flight. I actually didn't think I would make it but after speaking to an AA staff member on the ground she laughed and said I'd have plenty of time. It was't plenty but there was time to spare.

But we're on a Oneworld RTW award itinerary (the 280,000 pt one) in J and I understand that if we miss any of the segments the rest of our itinerary is scrapped, irrespective of whether it's my fault or the airline's.
Can you clarify whether I would be safe from this possibility if both flights are AA?

As JohnPhelan and drron have pointed out you should be fine. How you obtained the ticket (award or paid) doesn't matter, as long as it's a single PNR, you're covered.

Enjoy the 280k! :)
