CX The wing F lounge breakfast

Yes the food was good, the Barramundi I had in the QF lounge was very good, and I'm not normally a seafood person! :)

I shall have to give it another try soon..the last few times it's just been an overload of cheap carbs with the single al la carte offering laughably small and that sad looking piece of BBQ pork hanging at the bar...something the wing F doesn't skimp on I find is a variety of better quality foods..always able to get smoked salmon, sushi etc if al la carte is of no interest.

The Al la carte has sadly gone downhill through this year.. QF F Lounge fare runs rings around them..hopefully they've lifted their game, the eggs benedict used to be rather good.
Are you referring to breakfast or the rest of the day?

I think the choice of food available in the QF Lounge is poor as witnessed earlier this year. I like the variety on offer in the CX lounges. Roast lamb, beef, pork, smoked salmon etc.

Thought I would report back, fairly good buffet selection, ordered eggs benedict off the alacart menu but sadly it was pretty ordinary, the hollandaise was not that great as well as being grilled on top making the sauce 'thick skinned' so to speak.

Was exceptionally quiet at that time of morning which made it very relaxing, no troubles finding a seat.

Thanks again for everyones tips and advice a few months ago.

My wife and I used the CX Wing F Lounge a few times in the past month during our Asian travels. The hard product is still great, even better with the upgrades from a year or two back. However the Haven restaurant, whilst quite good, cannot match the selection or quality at the QF Sydney F Class lounge. The service also needs upgrading, I can't believe the Peninsula manages the restaurant! My wife commented that the Peninsula must use it as a training ground... :p

If you look carefully you will see a lot of the name badges of the wait staff at the Wing do indeed have "trainee" on them.....

If for nothing else, the unlimited supply of Peninsula chocolate truffles available at The Haven make it worth the trip. ;)

If you could spot this it means you were too sober at that time :p
An urgent trip to the champagne bar for you!

I think the service is pretty good 90% of the time(that's a better average than the QF HKG lounge which I rate at 30%) and on my 8 or so visits over the last 16 months a lot of the haven staff are the same each time.
