So I'm in the Champagne Lounge at The Wing, HKG, settled into one of the nice burgundy chesterfields.

There is a guy opposite me, not drinking any champagne, but has a bowl of noodles on the (low) table and he's slurping them noisily (delta from bowl to mouth is about 20 cm).

My question is: Should I:

1) Simply pick up the bowl of noodles and tip them over his head;

2) Grab the nearest fire extinguisher and give him a blast; or

3) Walk over to him, break wind, and walk off?

Edit: Apologies for the typo in the topic.

Or 4) get a glass of champagne and enjoy it to the point the ignorant one doesn't bother you?

It's not considered impolite to slurp in China. Where are you again? :p

You're not done with yet. There's more to come. :D

"Burping or slurping soup, actions which are considered impolite in Western culture, are part of Chinese eating and are generally interpreted as complimentary signs."

Maybe 3) is an option.

Didn't address the question. My lounge experience is all about me. DYKWIA? (Now adding ;) just to make it obvious).

And besides, he has 'The Haven' and the rest of the lounge to slurp, burp and all the rest, to his cultural heart's content. if he was also slurping Champagne, as well as noodles, I might be a little more forgiving.

But its a Champagne Lounge. Slurp Champagne!

Sit back, relax and have another ... :D

Yup, same in Japan, slurping noodles is a complement to the cook.

Ah. People and their disgusting eating/chewing habits and lack of respect for those around them.

Some animals take greater care when they are eating.

I had a few champers in the lounge (the guy stopped slurping), then moved on.

Just came back from a bit of a shop (I love those Lifetrons gadgets). On my way in, I noticed that there was a guy spread out, shoes off, apparently asleep on one of the 2-3 person chesterfields, in the Champagne Lounge.

About as much class as a sheep's daggy backside.

The lounge is pretty crowded ... I might go and bump him and ask him to shove over so I can sit down.

Ah. Now shoes off is disgusting. I'm thinking option 3) above.

Have another or two ... actually here is the way to solve everything in life:
1. Drink 1 glass of Champagne ... is the problem fixed? "YES" go to point 2 Or "NO" therefore go point 2
2. Drink another glass of Champagne and then go to point 1

Eventually all problems go away as the Champagne induced coma kicks in

Ah people and their ignorance of what is acceptable in other cultures
Still disgusting regardless of how you look at it. Have you ever sat at the lunch/dinner table watching/listening to someone eat with their mouth open and the food chewed from one side of the mouth to the other. It is truly a disgusting experience.

By the way some cultures think it is OK to mistreat women. Should I find that acceptable?

Pics with each would be awesome. 1 and 2 in the moment and 3 about 10 seconds after.
