Hi guys.
Usually I deal with the call centre, but I'm a bit non-committal on this flight... tempted to waitlist J return SYD-HKG over one of the upcoming long weekends and seeing if it pops up... anyone know:
(a) Will it let me waitlist without having the points in my account; and
(b) Do I have to pay the taxes at the time of waitlisting; and
(c) What are the chances of a waitlist coming through for CX Diamond? I know if I call the call centre they almost always open it for me...

A) for diamond, yes you can waitlist without points. For other levels, they may do it if you have at least 30-50% of miles.
B) No, you only pay when it's confirmed with at least 1 sector. Note: you will need to issue it as soon as 1 sector is confirmed.
C) depends on the load. Diamond generally gets the seat if the flight is not full during T-72.
