CX Relaxes Interline / Through-Check

Effective 1 January 2017, as a courtesy, Cathay Pacific and Cathay Dragon will through-check you and your bags to your final destination if you are travelling on separate tickets involving connections with our airline partners. However, through-check may not be possible if your travel begins with an airline that does not provide separate ticket through-check service.

CX have clearly found that refusing to interline makes it hard to deliver a top-notch transit experience at HKG (I've certainly given them a piece of my mind over it).

That's good news seeing I'm doing BKK SIN BNE in mid Jan on separate tickets.

just a little annoying that im travelling a week earlier and want to through check from CX to UL at HKG - will give it a go and see if I get some love from CX

Checked through SYD-HKG-BKK on seperate tickets tonight CX > UL no questions, hardest part for the gate agent was figuring out who UL were!
