However get your wallet out as the price ex Sydney starts at $5,089 up to $6519!

I agree.

I pay for my own business travel (mainly Europe and Asia) so I always struggle mentally to pay more than 5K to Europe anyway no matter what class it is, particularly when economy is around 2K however I really don't think PE is worth more than 4K so CX charging up to 6.6K is madness.

I agree, I know they are not as good as upper deck seats however when you are paying for Sydney - London out of your own pocket to know you have saved around 6K on a 48 hour journey does help you adjust!

What??? That's crazy pricing. I've booked a JAL Business class fare to Europe right in the middle of the Northern Hemisphere Summer holiday period for just about 5k. I know JAL J might not be perfect hard product but really- why would you pay the same for Premium Economy, especially as JAL is also OneWorld...

That is something that you will never convince me of.

I was thinking that about SQ redemption to Singapore at only 42.5K points, upstairs on Y with the 81K (or is it 80K on SQ) seat is not that bad and about as good as economy gets. It does depend on the seat though!

SIN=Singapore

TPE-MEL in J = A$2200. Only problem is you have to start in Taipei and stopover in HKG.

TPE to Europe also cheaper but not as big a discount as TPE-Australia percentage wise.

No you shouldn't as you are helping to create employement here in Aus.

10 years ago I was buying MEL-HKG-YYL return in F for $9,900. A$ was buying USD0.60 back then and a HKG-YYL ticket cost A$15k.. I thought the people in HK were getting ripped.
