I visited the Rose lounge before departing SGN 15th Nov on CX for HKG and found it abysmal. The food was plastic wrapped rolls or sandwiches or add some hot stock to a bowl of noodles and veg. I was silly enough to try a pork roll and have suffered for nearly a week literally. The drinks available are a couple of cheap still wines or a beer.
Poor effort so I recommend eating and drinking elsewhere.
The flight to HKG was delightful with both the catering and the attendants as you would expect from CX.

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. I must say my experiences in the Rose lounge are usually fantastic - always enjoy the chance to pour my own pho there before a flight. They have good selections of cha lua for the rolls too. They have some really nice juices and teas available too. I probably wouldn't recommend eating or drinking elsewhere in SGN as the options aren't amazing, especially compared to the variety available in the lounge.
