I had an early flight on CX from NRT to HKG on 20 Nov and resisted taking packet noodles for breakfast. There was little else to temp me either. Too early for a scotch but I had taste of the stout from the vending machine. Good but not breakfast material. I suggest you eat elsewhere if you need a western style breakfast. This was the second disappointment at the hands of CX within a week.
Fortunately we were able to catch up inThe Bridge in HKG before onward to SGN. Again the food offered was very enjoyable and software was as usual, a delight.

Interested in recommendations for the lounges in HK, with a 8hr stop over in front of me?

Relevant info, traveling CP in business, whilst a QF Gold and paid QF club

Following : have a 5 hour lay over in March enroute to JNB

In hkg Try the wing, cabin and bridge (no need pier and g16 imo)
and qf lounge if its open (which i think really gives cx a run for its money)

A contract lounge in an outport so pretty much the standard for CX ...KIX is the same although the beer machine makes it up for me :) could you not use the Sakura JL lounge?

I have visited the Sakura lounge and found it quite good but my head wasn't operating correctly. The Sakura cab be very busy at times but beggars can't be choosers can we.
