I tried to put my CX number in for the a classic J reward for better seat selection but the booking engine put my QF number back. It sort of make sense, but with their strict policy at the moment, that might have implication for lounge entry say for an international flight. Basically, if I book a classic award in J for international travel, I cannot use my oneworld emerald status to get into the first lounge.

Doesn't your WP card have a one world logo on it with a green "emerald" circle next to it? Show them that at the lounge.
