Current F Lounge Menu (SYD/MEL) and relevant topics

You could also be sitting amongst the Great Unwashed out in the terminal paying for things such as food and drink :p (yes I am envious, how could you tell?).

Dont worry, after my 1/10 th of a second irritation i realised what a privilege this actually is. Won't last forever but I will enjoy every opportunity I have in one of these lounges.

I've been in the Syd F lounge once. I'm also allergic to eggs so that reduces what I can sample. Spa was good however.

Smoked chicken salad with tea eggs and coriander.

It packed quite a punch. Very spicy. The next batch will be toned down a bit I am told. I guess they are still fine tuning the preparation.

I got distracted and forgot to post the preparation of the tea-eggs. Ofter they have been boiled in their shells, de-shell them and soak in tea. And no I don't remember what sort of tea.

I had the pleasure of a few hours in the Sydney F lounge this week. Have to say the winter menu is the best I have sampled in the 3 or 4 years I have had access. Sashimi, pumpkin starters were wonderful. The salt and chilli fish, and the duck were also superb. Only item that was average was the chicken salad and tea eggs (rather ordinary chicken, not smoked).

thanks Qantas for a really great privilege. Keen to try the pork and udon noodle next time.

as an aside, I am stunned at the number of times I see people order a club sandwich or burger and a bowl of chips. To each their own, and maybe they are very frequent visitors, but when there are such other delights on offer I can't help but feel it's a wasted opportunity.

In the SYD Flounge now, had the yellow fin tuna and the duck leg confit - best meal I have ever had here. Apparently the menu will change next Tuesday and there is a big surprise coming?

Finished off with the rhubarb and brownie and a Noble One. After a massage, a great lunch and a few wines I feel like I can fly without the assistance of Qantas!

For once I don't want a change! Will be in the MEL F lounge in a few days and was banking on the same menu. Oh well !!

Oh, I'll be in the Melbourne Flounge next Tuesday (25th?) I wonder if the big surprise extends to Melbourne?!
