Curious Classic Seat Availability - can anyone explain?

On April 5 next year, the day before good Friday, I want to fly ADL-MEL using points.

Curiously, there's loads of choice but only if I fly the scenic route via via Sydney.

So, there's plenty of SYD-MEL seats, and ADL-SYD - just not MEL-SYD which makes me think it's not Easter causing it - can anyone offer or guess at an explanation?
