Crying over spilled tea

Ouchy ouchy ouchy! I hope you are healing quickly.

I believe, although I haven't tried it, that hand or body lotion, or conditioner rubbed onto tights will stop the cling.

That's very unfortunate Katie and I'm sorry to hear about this.
At least it appears QF have done everything they possibly could following the accident!

Not on an aircraft, but when I was in Rome a waitress spilt hot coffee on me... she just apologised a couple of times and that was the end of it, we even had to pay for the coffee! Meanwhile, I had to spend the rest of the day with coffee stains all over my clothes.. :mad:

Ir does happen (link from a FT thread)

A Hendricks County woman is suing Delta Air Lines for damages, her attorney said, after a male flight attendant spilled hot coffee on the woman’s lap during a 2011 flight from Detroit to Rome.
<snip>
Potts is entitled to up to $170,000 from the airline under the Montreal Convention, which governs some international flights, including the Detroit-to-Rome trip. David Thompson, her Indianapolis attorney, declined to offer specifics on how much they were seeking.

Thanks all. :)

I am healing fairly well, though trousers with inner seams are still, um, less than comfortable. :shock:

I'm trying some of my stash of Pure Fiji Dilo Rescue Gel on the burns. My skin is even reacting to hypoallergenic dressings, so it's back to odd walking or lycra for now. (My skin is a bit sensitive to adhesives)

I'll leave the details there, as it's already really far too much!!

Thanks for the update. Great to hear you are healing.
Lycra will be your friend :) That odd walking will mess with your back...

I am glad I only got the ice bucket spilt on me! Ouch, a hot drink would be painful at the least.

Waaaaay back in 02 I was traveling CHC-SYD and was only a teenager and they had an ice bucket on the cart and needless to say before I even got served I got an ice bucket to the lap! Ended up with a Qantas tee shirt and got to spend the rest of the flight in Business Class. At least they looked after you that's the important thing.
