I have done half a dozen cruises with Norwegian, they do assist people with mobility issues to board tenders using 2 crew members.

I have just looked at the FAQ, and they seem to have lowered the weight to 100lbs now. Would need to be a child or very fragile person to fall into that weight range shame this has changed.

I rarely do ship tours, unless the place I want to visit very far and the traffic can be bad. The last ship tour I did was in December for the Củ Chi Tunnels and Ho Chi Minh City tour from Phu My port, which is 80km south of Ho Chi Minh city. I wasn't going to risk it there.

But generally most people should know what they are risking. I've seen ship wait only 1 hour before for late comers. Late departures can affect the arrival time in the next port. Best not to hold up thousands for the sake of a few.
Yes, that seems fairly light...but just how much weight would you expect crew members to literally "manhandle"? Baggage is limited to 32kg per piece for OH&S reasons....and most allowances are 23kg... Twice that IS 100 lb. How much weight would you expect those crew members to manage? Having a disability (sadly) means that you do NOT get to do everything others can do. Thats why its CALLED a "disability". Wherever possible of course measures SHOULD be taken to reduce the effects of any disability... but there are always going to be limits.

The 32kg luggage weights are based on a single person lift and rotation.

I don't think anyone expects a crew member to carry an adult alone and swing them into a seat on a tender.

NCL transfers to a tender that I have witnessed are normally 2 crew if physically carried and 4 crew if in a harness.

Princess uses a stair climber to get to the tender.

Holland America is probably the most inclusive for mobility issues due to their demographic, they offer stair free tender access on all but 2 ships.

Royal Caribbean, don't even seem to offer the option of crew assist.

I don't disagree that 100% inclusion is just not always possible.
