I love that title. Thanks for that. My husband and I applied and both are now Grand Admiral…very handy should we ever cruise with Ponant again.
We’ve done three with Celebrity in Aqua and another one next month and won’t make Elite. What am I doing wrong here…Got Elite with Celebrity after 3 cruises in Aqua Class and Power Up Points during Covid.
Haven’t cruised since 2018.
I just checked. We reach it the first night of the next cruise44 nights plus the power up points got us over the line.

Over 20 years, I’ve done four Celebrity cruises, 36 nights - at least 2 in Aqua but still only “Select”. Although, I went from about 180 points to 285 just off “Power Ups”!44 nights plus the power up points got us over the line.
I never received the power up points from a recent video promoted as one that earns them.Over 20 years, I’ve done four Celebrity cruises, 36 nights - at least 2 in Aqua but still only “Select”. Although, I went from about 180 points to 285 just off “Power Ups”!
A cruise later this year will tip me over to Elite. There could be at least two more Power Ups before then but they won’t be enough.

Excellent - well doneTravelled cruised with RCI, Princess, Holland America, P&O, Avalon etc. Status with Princess. Being budget conscious, while I am not keen on really big ships, I have not travelled with any of the smaller up market cruise lines so far.
To finish up what we knew was a busy schedule of recent travel on a Europe touring/holiday we decided to book a cruise to wind down at the end.
Because of circumstance budget and schedule requirements and partially curiosity we booked a 7day MSC med cruise (which we undertook recently). 6,800passengers 2,200crew
On this cruise booking as we do on all cruise bookings, deliberately paid that little bit more to select and lock in a specific cabin number roughly midships to provide the most comfortable ride but not too close to the elevators/foot traffic.
We hold Platinum with Princess and applied online for a status match with MSC. This happened seamlessly very quickly with Voyager Gold granted which would grant a some small benefits.
As usual we received several emails inviting us to pay an extra $1-7k for a better cabin class which we ignored.
We set off in our travels around Europe and arrived at the day before we are due to board, checked through our documents and boarding instructions to find annoyingly our cabin number appears to have been changed. Maybe a mixup
Arrived at the port to be greeted and escorted to a priority lounge and asked to wait as someone relabelled our bags and a waiter served us drinks and snacks - turns out we had been upgraded to the Voyagers Club “5* enclave within a ship” environment.
A butler, a much larger cabin. Walk-in rain shower. Unlimited drinks. Free full minibar in cabin. Unlimited internet. Private restaurant dining. Daily access 1hr to the thermal suite. Priority lifts. Priority escorted disembarking at each port. Impeccable service by multilingual very well trained staff throughout the “hotel enclave”.
Can’t be sure why we got the upgrade. Low season? Enticement to first time travellers? Princess Status?
An incredible experience. Not sure we could go back to “normal” cruising again.
Read a bit about VS benefits before you make the plunge.Looks like I’m going to be 3pts short of “Elite” status with Celebrity prior to our next cruise in a few weeks time….. One night of many booked would be enough to to tip me over…
I wonder if they’d comp me if I ask?
Meanwhile, RCCL Group are introducing “Points choice” which should allow a cruise on any of the lines (RCCL, Celebrity or Silverseas) be credited to a preferred program.

Currently you only earn points in each of program (Crown & Anchor, Captains Club or Venetian Society) for sailings on ships within each line.
But they do have the auto status match.
Depending on the details (due next year), I might start directing future sailing days to VS in expectation of doing some trips on their metal in due course.

Yeah, I think I said up thread a while ago that there’s not a lot of room to move with extra perks on an already higher class ships and service. Better champagne was one.Read a bit about VS benefits before you make the plunge.
Hence the earlier comment about directing future sailings (including one booked for next year) to VS.The major benefits are the 7 day complimentary cruise at 350 days and 14 days after 500 days. But any status match does not include these benefits. They are strictly SS days only that count.
