My wife and I have a bit of a tradition of taking it in turns to organise something new each year for our wedding anniversary, it's made for some great experiences over the last 20 years. One of our favourites was a few years ago when she discovered Crown's "Crystal Club" here in Melbourne, the overnight package came with an enormous and beautifully-appointed suite, and access to their club lounge for all you can eat (and drink) afternoon tea, pre-dinner coughtails/canapes and breakfast. Add in some fine dining and a live show and it made for a terrific night out.
Lockdowns have made it harder the last few years, but now we're back I wouldn't mind organising something similar, but it needs to be at a new hotel, so at least I can meet the 'somewhere we haven't been before' criteria. Can anyone suggest a similar kind of package they've experienced at any other top-notch Melbourne hotels?

The Crystal Club is truly amazing and unlike any of the best “Club Lounges” on offer by the big chains. Following this thread with interest :)
I know right? Maybe I take her there and my justification can be "well this is the first time we've been to the same place a second time"? :)

Maybe try speaking to a Virtuoso agent to see what deals they have access to?
I hadn't heard of Virtuoso, i'll check it out, thanks.

I found a ~12 year old post while searching this site that talked about a few "executive lounges" in Melbourne, and while Googling those I found this article:

It mentions a few lounges as alternatives to the now-closed Park Hyatt one, but none seem to offer a similar experience to Crown's Crystal Club. Maybe the Queen Adelaide Lounge in the Hilton Melbourne, i'll investigate that further:
