My company travel agent has booked me on an AA flight from MEL - Miami. I didnt really notice as its a Qantas plane.

The probably did it because the AA flight is $2,580 and via Qantas the exact same flight is $2,710. What is up with that?

Anyway never flown with AA before, how do I get my points across to qantas as I do not have a membership with AA?

Re: AA or Qantas?

ah I see. so just give Qantas my ff number?
is there any advantage to signing up for the AA awards program?

Need to know the fare bucket, some of the cheaper buckets don't earn on QF... you may not get anything with a QFF number.
