I am flying to Per/Lon 12th Sept ,Man/Per Oct on my Qantas FFPoints, I have also booked a Air/Can flight Lon/Toronto/Man 13th Sept/28th with my c/card (Comm platinum) apparently i am covered for travel insurance by my c/c purchase.
As anybody got any feedback on this, pitfalls,or do i still need to take extra cover.

Are we talking Amex? A discussion I had with Amex re another matter yesterday confirmed that in my case I had to pay for both domestic & os tickets for the amex travel cover to apply. In my circumstances I understand that conditions for Citi Plat Mastercard only requires os ticket to be purchased for cover to apply.

I seem to recall that a few yrs ago there was a post that uncovered cover that applied to times where points were used for tickets. Try a site search.

I have visa gold credit card cover and had no problems when we had an accident in the uk. They covered the excess in full promptly and with no hassles as soon as we returned and submitted the claim.
