Credit at the Sheraton on the Park Sydney

Hi

I had to cancel a recent stay at the Sheraton on the Park Sydney it was prepaid so they wouldn't give me a refund, but because I am a Platinum member they gave me a credit valid for 6 months.

It is a pretty sizable credit, and I am just not going to use it. They did said that I can transfer it.

I don't want to convene the AFF rules but does anyone know where I should advertise it for sale? Perhaps I should just go in there and see if concierge could help??

Appreciate any advice.

Btw, 6 months credit is quite generous. I got only 3 months after cancelling pre-payed stay at Four Points SYD earlier this year.

The credit was too large for Boomy, so i'm going to go into the hotel one day this week and speak to concierge and see if they can help get rid of it for me.

I went into the Sheraton on the Park yesterday and spoke with Concierge to see if they could help find someone who could use the voucher, offering them some cash as a finders fee.

Perhaps I didn't offer him enough cash because he looked at me like i'd run over his dog and said

"That wouldn't be something we could assist with sir...."

Back to the drawing board!

Yeah I had my Platinum Concierge ask that question but needs to be used the Sheraton on the Park.

Can you split up the credit, staying into several nights each time over several months?

Otherwise book the best room available and hold an AFF party there

Yes the credit can be split over several stays over several months as long as used up by mid february.

Sheraton on the Park also confirmed that I can split the credit so it can be transferred to a number of different people, which is a win, a few people have inquired about it but the credit was too big for them.
