CP London the City- upgrades/status recognition?

Was just wondering if anyone here has recently stayed at this hotel? Were upgrades available etc? I am a Platinum Ambassador and wondered if they recognise status etc.
Any information or advice would be appreciated

Stayed at this hotel last week for 4 nights as platinum on points.

Not certain on upgrades as we required a room with 2 beds and I had already booked the higher class room type on points.

Was given free Internet for 2 devices for having platinum status.

We really enjoyed the property as a whole. Didn't eat there at all but the location was great, right across the road from Blackfriars tube station. Very convenient!

Forgot to mention, tesco express right around the corner is very convenient. Nice way to have a cheap healthy breakfast if one is watching the budget!

Hi All
This hotel is fantastic!! Given it was over the duration of the Olympics and on a points booking...
I was originally given an inside facing room onto a courtyard and it was a bit dark so they moved us to an outside facing room with large window, unable to give us a Club room but didnt really matter.
They basically acknowledge the Ambassador status even though they are a CP. Upon check in I was told that the Club Lounge was oversubscribed therefore we were given complimentary buffet breakfast in the restaurant for 17 days. Newspapers and 4pm late checkout also.
After a few nights it was mentioned to us that we also had Club access so when we went there it was fantastic. Spirits were included and they were happy to leave you there after the staff member had finished their shift.
Internet access was provided as a Platinum member for two devices. The welcome letter we had said it was a special for Platinums for the month of July so I am unsure if this happens regularly but if you ask them nicely they are happy to assist I am sure.
On the whole, the location is fantastic, the new Blackfriars station across the road is great and the Blackfriars pub across the road is fun too. Theres a 24 hr Tesco express also across the road.
I am sure you will enjoy it there and I will definately return.
