Last year I had to make a claim on travel insurance for the first time after breaking my collarbone three days before I was due to leave on a two month trip.
I was insured with Covermore which was purchased through STA for what I consider a reasonable price. I can report that they were helpful on the phone in answering my questions and paid everything they should have without issue. I had been concerned that for some parts of the trip I should have canceled from the hospital bed in time to receive a refund and that Covermore would take issue with this but it was not a problem.

For my next trip I am likely to just rely on the Zurich policy that comes with my CBA gold credit card. Does anyone have any experience in claiming with Zurich good, bad or otherwise?
I've read elsewhere on AFF that people have taken some extra cover for medical costs in the US. Zurich has unlimited cover on medical and hospital expenses other than a 75AUD per day limit on bed care patients up to 7500AUD maximum.
Any idea if this is anywhere near enough for US medical costs?
