Hi all,

I was on AA72 on 16/Mar/2017 when it was turned back due to a medical emergency on board. I managed to get an excellent price for the trip (MEL-SYD-LAX-SYD-MEL) in J, however it has been a long and painful struggle to get AA to move me onto new flights that are suitable for the meeting I'm going to (that I had to reschedule due to the delay) without paying the cost difference between the original fare and what J goes for now.

To the knowledge of other members, are there any travel insurance policies available that would have offered any coverage at all here? From my reading of the policies I typically take out (and the coverage I receive from my card issuers), it seems that the answer is no.

Thanks to all who reply!
