Planning a family trip to Fiji in Aug for my father-in-law's 80th birthday (8 adults, 4 toddlers). One concern is that rising jet fuel prices could lead airlines to cancel our flights.
So far, the insurance providers I've spoken to have told me that they will not cover any costs stemming from flight cancellations because of jet fuel price hikes (they consider this as an effect of war under their PDS).
Does any AU travel insurer cover cancellations for this reason? Or are there any CFAR policies out there that could be recommended?
It's an expensive trip to one of the private islands, so we'd like to know that we'll be covered if the trip gets cancelled because of jet fuel hikes.
