In an amazing case of one-up-manship from the man who ran onto the tarmac in order to get onto he flight, this couple decide to get onto the tarmac (who knows how) and sit under their aircraft in order to catch their flight.

I'm really not sure if this should also go under the 'Never a dull moment in China' thread as well :)

People like this really frustrate me. "I'm going to delay your flight, waste police resources and risk injury in an attempt to get on-board because my day is more important than yours."

How did they manage to get onto the tarmac? Did they beat up a gate agent along the way?

Maybe they should have carried on a tanty like that infamous woman at HKG at the gate. Less risk, more chance of resolution and instant compensation if someone films you

The main things here are no one on board was hurt, and the people who pulled this stunt were not given the satisfaction of their demands, and instead are being punished.

Remember that poor man in India who was sucked into the engine of a 787 or something? So many ways they could have been hideously injured or killed. What an insane thing for them to do. Lucky they weren't hurt and their only penalty is via Chinese law and not Darwin's law.

Emergency button to release the gate door, then down the side stairs of the jetbridge?

Note the article says they ran onto the runway - not quite!
