Hi,

I want to travel both:

Honolulu to Las Vegas (presumably via LAX) and
Las Vegas to New York

Both trips using the Qantas Using Points Calculator say business class is not available. AA apparently flies both routes and I would find it surprising if they didn't offer business class. Is a business class award possible and how many points are required?

Thanks,
Dale.

Inside the US (ie Domestic), AA only offers Economy and First...

Economy is more like flying Jetstar/Tiger
First is generally worse than Qantas Domestic Business (although this is changing with some of their new planes)

There isn't technically a business as they refer to it as first.

If you search for rewards through the qantas booking engine HNL-(LAX)-LAS comes up for 75,000 one way in first class.

If you travel on a OneWorld RTW 280K award ticket which cabin can you travel in on those routes?

Thanks.

a Qantas oneworld J award is downgraded to Y on US Domestic routes (buried somewhere in the T&Cs) - not there are some NY-LA flights with Business.

by contrast a paid DONEx fare gets to go in First.
