Thought this may be easiest to throw to the experts.
Based in BNE, I have to head to Darwin next May. Was thinking of linking in some holiday onto the work component.
I plan to head to Paris for about a week for another commitment, so want to fit in basically:
Travel to DRW on the Wednesday and have work until saturday or sunday (unclear at this stage), be in Paris by the Friday of the following week, and back in BNE by the Saturday following that.
mrsdoc is talking of heading to port douglas whilst i'm in DRW and me heading across from DRW to join her on the sunday, and then she'll head back to BNE on say the wednesday, when I would head to CDG.
What's going to be the best way to link all this travel.
Option 1.
BNE-DRW-CNS-BNE then BNE-CDG-BNE (interim stops tba)
Option 2.
BNE-DRW-CNS-??? - CDG-BNE
Is there a fare product with oneworld that will allow these stopovers? I suppose a xONE out of DRW might work with a one way ticket to DRW (can I stopover in CNS on the way to BNE and then say SIN ie. DRW-CNS, CNS-BNE-SIN-LHR-CDG, CDG-LHR-SIN-BNE for example?).
For what it's worth, I dont really fancy a Y seat in JQ from DRW-SIN although yes I realise this might be easier!
Can I do : JQ (would only do *class) CNS-Japan then Japan-LHR (on BA??)
Open to suggestions?? In the meantime i'm still playing with the oneworld online tool but it's really only RTW useful (otherwise it just gives you a list of booking contacts).
Will xONEs allow travel to/from EU via asia? or will i be forced into a US diversion (or is it a GLOB i'm after).
