Did you check out sunhouse, on McLean st back toward the post office? Best coffee and least pretentious coffee in cooly/rainbow bay!

When work first moved us down here we almost considered moving into the sebel!

no but I will next time - went to the sands pub (the old port of call) and remembered my misspent youth though- that used to be the place once - how it has been renovated!

They've been ripping the roof up for the last few months, not too sure hats happening!

We've only been down here since Jan so I wasn't too familiar with Coolangatta prior to that.

The lads at sunhouse reckon their building was the first KFC in QLD, they still have a bit of the old signage laying about.

All this talk of coffee has me walking out the door to sunhouse right now....

they matched wotif and I still got accor points $140/double

thats a good deal, and there is one of the usual hard core GC riff raff in site.

they are on my list. I prefer thrips to the hinterland these days to dodge the traffic as best one can.

there are also some Melbourne acceptable restaurants starting to sprout, changing the character of the area.

How did you get from OOL airport to the hotel?
I can imagine an upset taxi driver for a five buck ride.

There is a short queue and long queue at OOL. The short queue always seems full of the "old boys" who don't mind a quick run down to cooly
