Hi guys,

My topic might not be relevant but just want to see if anyone has used a smart light switch to turn on/off their lights while travelling? We are going overseas during Easter and want to install this product to secure the house by controlling our lights from overseas. Saw their Facebook ads recently and want to see if anyone has this experience. Any feedback is highly appreciated.

Thanks

There are many smart home products that will control your lights from the internet. I have an Apple device and an Apple TV so use HomeKit. No matter where I am, I can see what lights are on, among other things, and even set automation (such as turning on at dusk and off at midnight). You can do the same with Amazon Alexa or Google Home.

You don't need to re-engineer your wall switches ;)

Depends on what you are looking to control.

As Sam says plenty of plugin bulbs with automation built in.. but not so good if your house is all downlights.

Equally lots of options for lamps where you can set timers on plug points for example.
