Seeking opinions on the minimum connection time required to go from JQ3 (SYD-HNL) and a mainland flight with either AA or AS
Based on the flights I want there is 105-110 minutes between flights
I flew into HNL last month and the flight was 10 minutes early and if I recall correctly it only took 15 minutes to clear immigration
Have looked at 3-6 month averages and it seems JQ3 arrives early or on time almost 90% of the time
Will be flying Business (StarClass) and have hand luggage only
The only thing I dislike about HNL is the flights are all stacked early in the morning, then the next lot of mainland flights are in the afternoon, and night (all red-eyes)...
I would rather get all flying down in one hit than staying in Waikiki for the night and losing the next full day due to flying. Plus I have several nights in Waikiki on the way back so no need to stay on the way over as well...
Thoughts??? (keeping in mind, no check in luggage, but separate PNR's)
