Connection time between Terminals 3 and 2 at Heathrow

Just wondering if 75 mins will be enough time to disembark QF1 at terminal 3 Heathrow (hand luggage only) and make my way to terminal 2 for a flight to Portugal on another airline? The flight connection plan on the airport website indicates its the minimum transfer time...or is it realistically too much of a risk? the flight after that means a 5 hour wait...

Which terminal do you leave from as BA flights leave from both terminal 3 and 5 ?.

Terminal 5 - their website says 90 minutes and we have 100!
On the plus side - it's on a single PNR so hoping that means we can book the luggage through.

The underground tunnel/walkway from T3 to the Underground also connects through to T2, so about a 15min transit. However, the key delays are in clearing immigration and recovering your bags before walking next door. This can easily take 60 mins if you are not a UK/EU passport holder, depending how many planes arrive around the same time as yours.

If it wasn't on one PNR I'd be anxious, at least if you miss BA flight they'll rebook you on the next flight. The 100 minute buffer you have is dependant on QF1 arriving on time. Where is your BA flight to?

Thanks all, very helpful advice. I have just had a chat to Qantas consultant, who said that they will definitely check bags through and confirmed that this is a "legal connection". Since we are travelling business they said it's very likely we'll have access to fast track for security queues etc.

So the main risk seems to be QF1 arriving late. Consultant confirmed that if that is the case, they will rebook us onto the next flight (which in this case is the next day; though there's another BA flight from Gatwick that we could make, it would get messy with bags etc). We'd have to find ourselves overnight accommodation.

On balance I'm inclined to stay with the original booking rather than rebook the Italy leg to the next day. I have things to do and people to meet (for work).

I feel I should also apologise for hijacking the original thread.
