Connecting flights to OGG should I pick HA or WP(Island Air)?

I have a meeting on Maui Island and QF offers connecting flights on HA or WP airlines for the short HNL to OGG segment. Since I haven't flown either airlines I would like to know if I should pick HA or WP. Any pros or cons? I think WP only flies small ATR aircraft vs 717 for HA. Any other thing I should consider?

Ive only ever flown HA, quick, simple, no allocated seats, first on best dressed, about 25mins IIRC, usual fights with oversize COB

I flew HA 1st class HNL-OGG, as it was a relatively cheap way to score 40 VFF SC's (to reach platinum).

This is a straight up, straight down flight.

I went HA, which I credited to AA. No problems. Well, no problems apart from learning the hard way that LAG rules apply on US domestic flights Luckily they were used to Aussies making that mistake and sent me back to check them in rather than sending me to Gitmo.

Thanks! That's a good reason to choose HA. I had no idea they were an AA partner.
