I purchased a couple of QF tickets on 3 June using my Black card with a value of just under $200. I then remembered about the complimentary QP passes and went and registered on the web-site for them.
Travel - Earth - Westpac
This was the same the same day that I bought the tickets so I was hoping that I had registered in time. (I'm not quite sure why you have to go through the process of registering).

At the time I couldn't find what the eligible QF spend had to be so phoned Westpac. I can't remember now whether I still had to spend another $300, so $500 in total or whether it was a total of $300. Either way I was short but was told that the systems accumulate the amount of spend over your year of membership.

Anyway, today 2 lounge passes turned up in the post! So, I either got the wrong information from Westpac or the systems aren't quite working as they should be. :)

From memory on most other co-branded credit cards the first Qantas spend for the new membership year triggered the complimentary Qantas club passes.

I did not think there was any spend criteria or needing to register. Perhaps this card is different.

Has anyone received their QP passes yet? No sign of mine about 6 weeks after the first QF spend.

We have recieved two lots of complimentary passes now. Will see if we get some more shortly from the latest QF purchase :)

And got another 2 in the mail today. Lets see now if we get some more in a couple of weeks after the booking I made last week.

I registered for the offer and made a Qantas purchase back in May. Still waiting fo rthe passes. I have called earth black line numerous times and have received a $70 credit to my card as 'compensation' but still no passes. I'm speaking to the same guy who tells me that he cant tell me when the passes will be issued. Even got my relationship manager involved recently although hes done nothing for me to date..... Disappointing all round really from earth black line as far as I'm concerned

Anyone else had trouble getting theirs?

I couldn't even see how to register for them in the booklet they sent me, Google found it for me, then eventually I found it as a not-obvious link on their website.

So having registered last week and then booked a flight on the weekend, it'll be interesting if/when they come (and if they have 12 months to be used), not that it is urgent since I thought I'd give them to a relative flying to the USA in December.

Amusingly I got a letter yesterday talking about when my card arrives in a few days and they arrived last week, so it seems their mailing setup isn't 100%.

I did an upgrade (it was originally an Earth Gold with the mandatory change to Platinum a while back and now to Black since it is free under Premier Advantage) and that all went through with a credit limit of $8000 which I found interesting (got a letter with one page saying my credit limit was $8000 and then two pages on it stated a minimum credit limit of $18000 which I found a bit amusing).

That said I don't see much point having a huge credit limit so am very happy to have the lower amount (when I got the Everyday Rewards card it came with a $17500 limit and so I rang them up and had them knock $10k off).

My Earth Black has $5,000 limit. I started with the basic card then have been swapped to Platinum then Black without the minimum limit required for an outright application.

My passes have finally arrived some 4 months after I registered and made my eligible Qantas purchase. Coincidentally a matter of days after my post above re same!! Don't know why it took so long for them to be sent out. The 'new card/ product teething problems' excuse from the earth black phone line wore out with me a couple of months ago...

Mine arrived today, so that makes it 10 days from booking with Qantas to the passes arriving. Hopefully that means things are sorted out now for new cards.

I did have a brief hitch since they charged me the annual card fee, but when I rang up they reversed that (it is free as part of my premier advantage package, but because I upgraded from Plat to Black it apparently was waiving the annual fee on the old card cancelled rather than the new one... anyway, a quick phone call got that sorted by very cooperative staff - just shows they are still a bit sloppy with some of the processes I guess - but they were good at sorting it out).

Expiration date on the passes is Sept 2014 too, which is good (I was worried they might be for a shorter period than 12 months).

While it is nice to have the passes, it gives me one less reason to go for WP rather than retain SG since I'll have them to guest people in with if with an extra person or two (and also to think LTS will be ample now I'm headed back to Newcastle at the end of the year where there is no lounge and LTS is only a few years away at this rate).

I don't know if I just missed things somehow, but incase anyone is interested, but there seem to be two sites with the "bonus partner" listings - the regular one for most Earth cards and the black extra ones (which are slightly larger than the ones listed under Earth Black Premium partners on the regular site - Bing Lee is on the 2nd site, but not listed on the black premium ones of the main site, for example).

in the same year? i thought it was limited to two?

How did you go about this, I would love to know as I currently have the Platinum cards and I always travel with Qantas, as I plan to go to Europe next year the lounge passes would be nice.

I ended up getting the passes 3 times.. so 6 passes.
I got a surprise package the other day of 2 more passes having got a couple 6 months ago. My new QF year has ticked over this month but I can't see how that might have triggered new passes. I have some happy friends though.

Online product swap from Earth to the platinum (credit limit was $4,000 at this point). Phone call to request the Black card because I didn't get changed automatically.

I just had a 2nd round of two passes arrive. I've no idea what triggered it (like you my QFF year had rolled over since the first pair was sent out), though they were dispatched 2 days after my monthly statement, during which there was a Qantas purchase, so I wonder if it isn't properly tracking whether you've previously been sent them (I'm half tempted to do another transaction this month to see if I get sent a 3rd pair or not, someone reported getting three sets a while ago).

I received my first 2 QF passes a week after booking with Qantas.
Expiration date would be May 2015.
Will I be receiving another 2 new passes automatically yearly once my May 2015 (current) expires or do I have to make another Qantas purchase to be eligible.
