Complimentary Hotel Status via VA Gold- double dip?

I am currently VA Gold but will drop back to Silver next month due to the lack of eligible sector, can I use the complimentary car and hotel status now (Hertz and IHG Rewards) and use it again when I re-gain gold membership from silver later this year?

Or is the complimentary car and hotel status truly a once per account deal and I cannot use that perk again even if I regain gold sometime down the line?

Seems like a VERY variable Feast in our long experience in this Virgin Platinum shuffle!

Maybe they will agree and maybe they will not. Depends on Phases of the Moon more than anything else it seems!
