Hey guys,

Just wondering if when redeeming the complimentary flight, can you originate from a city which is different to the recorded residential city with AMEX?

It's weird you can go per-bne rtn and not bne-per rtn for example.

And is as long as saver fares are available, redemption success rate is 100%?

- financial year
- card membership year?

Ah ok, thats a good point, there are three buckets (I forget now) and there are more than 3 buckets in that category.

Its good one can book from anywhere, not locked to the city of residence.

Card anniversary.
If you wait 11 months you can book 2 flights for self and a travel companion.

I always call before end of my year and ask them to carry it over they usually give me 2 months blowing the booking window out another 11 mths.
great if not sure how you are going to use can always bring the date forward for a fee.

Flight reset date is not always card anniversary or annual fee date - my reset date is many months apart from annual fee date, for some reason!

My understanding is that saver fares being available almost always means seat will be available.

No minimum as far as I am aware - just depends on availability of seats, which is quite good. I usually book at short notice - a week or two.

Cheers. Thats very handy. Being in tye doghouse with your roster clerk is never good for planning far in advance so a couple of weeks is good!
