Just curious if anyone has carried goods (for sale) in commercial quanities back to Aus via flight (and check in luggage) and what the process would be to get through Customs properly. I'm very familiar if it comes through the mail but never done it in person for the process.

I haven’t done it but I’ve declared alcohol many times and assume it would be the same process (there is a question on the arrivals card that you would have to tick saying you are carrying commercial goods).

They’ll send you to a specific queue in customs (after the initial person collecting cards/tickets) where they’ll ask what you have and either waive you through or send you to the scanners to start the inspection.

Bring a commercial invoice with the goods.
And declare it

I brought in a product in March with me for demo purposes, it was just 1 briefcase sized carton, declared it and was just waved through (I hadn't told them it was for demo though)
