about time! i spoke to 3 operators earlier this year who couldn't book a JL flight for me. 4th one could.

It seems we can now book Qatar (QR) as awards on Qantas as well. Not sure how long this has been around for, but I just noticed it a few days ago.

The cynic in me would say this is driven by QF trying to stamp out people avoiding the phone booking fee.

QR have been bookable for a while now. I booked DOH-MUC on the A350 back in Jan 2016.

Anyway, great news that JL will be available online. :)

Finally!! Hopefully this will also relieve some pressure on call centre wait times...

I've also noticed S7 availability starting to appear on the QF website over the last couple of days. I'd never seen this before.

Bit less excited about the option of flying with S7... :)

I flew with them between MUC and DME last year and found the on board service somewhat... soviet. Having said that, getting the front row of Y was quite easy as I just emailed them stating that I was OWE and they offered any seat I wanted. :)
