As some of you know, booking SQ J out of Australia is getting really hard during Xmas now. However beyond i.e. From Singapore is still do-able. Question is would I be able to buy the Perth to Singapore in economy, and then booking the redemption in J. And getting SQ to merge the 2 so luggage/boarding passes are issued both at point of departure?
If so how best to initiate? I'm assuming:
-Book economy return flight
-Book redemption in J
-Call SQ to combine

Or is it not possible?

Thoughts/comments appreciated thank you.

There is nothing you need to do in advance of the day of travel.

Book your tickets and at check-in advise you have an onward flight from Singapore, and give them the booking reference.

If possible, they will through check your bags at that point.

You must ensure your onward flight meets all the rules regarding minimum connecting times.

You cannot merge or combine separate bookings. All they can do is ‘link’ them. But that in itself only puts a note into the booking. Unkess check-in is looking for that note, they may not see it.

So to save time, no need to call… just do it at the airport.
