Hi all.
I just wanted to post that contrary to the Singapore Airlines website, I was given an invitation to the Araliya Lounge in Colombo as a Gold Velocity Rewards frequent flyer without even asking for it.
Perhaps this was a one off or mistake, but it worked for me.

What was the lounge like though?


The Colombo lounges (there are two) are reasonable. The chairs are comfortable. There are a few PCs. A reasonable selection of food, though at bit past freshness by the time CX's flights leave between 0000 and 0200. Occupancy levels vary but I have never seen overflowing in the PER Friday evening sense.

Happy wandering

Fred

I was pleasantly surprised. Both lounges are adequate, and a good enough place to sit down and charge up your electronics.

I found the food was fresh-ish, but it looked like they just re-stocked it last time I was there. The time before I was practically asleep.
