Nice to see Gerrard Lappin flying Col Pays P40 at Tyabb this weekend. I was at cadets with Gerrard back in the day and he ended up marrying Michelle Hailey, a school friend of mine. Michelle was well known in Gliding circles and sadly lost her life to a medical condition a few years back, far too young. Good to see his son also heavily into Aviation and will also be flying at Tyabb, I am sure his mum would be proud.
Gerrard is the CFI at Latrobe Valley where I first soloed back in the day.
