It's my first time flying internationally on MH and I just used online check-in. The boarding passes I got given to print have the following code on under the SSR:

VGML FQTV CKIN

Obviously I know what the VGML is for, but no idea what the FQTV and CKIN mean. Never seen these printed on any of my BP's before on any airline (or at least not that I've ever noticed).

Can anybody shed light on this for me? Curious :)

Frequent Traveller (acknowledgement by the check in system your number has been added to the booking) and did you online check in perhaps?

Thanks :) But did you see the first sentence of my OP? It does say I used online check-in.Still a bit confused as to why that would be relevant under SSR though?

Oops missed that!

Who knows why it needs to be on BP but maybe they will look at OLCI rates and by tagging it in the system they can audit it later?

The SSR code CKIN refers to there being a checkin comment present in your booking such as flow forward due to to short international connection etc which alerts the CSA to see what the comment is but I haven't seen that particular code printed on a boarding pass before.

This post on Flyertalk sums it up quite well.

Here's a brief summary of the common codes listed on BPs:

CKIN - "Check In" - basically means there is a remark for the agent to see upon check-in. The most common item with this code is a reminder to print a receipt for the customer...you will see this with practically any change made where there is a reissue involved and a new ticket/receipt is needed.

FQTV - Frequent Flyer # - already mentioned in this thread.

Guess I'll find out tomorrow when I drop my bag off then. Interesting though, because I did OLCI and there's a possibility that I wouldn't actually visit the check-in counter if I was only travelling with carry-on. Suppose they could always call my name over the PA system inside, but anyway...
