"... the lounge is expected to roll out the welcome mat to other airlines in the coming months: those likely candidates would be ... Virgin Australia’s daily flights to Tokyo."

Looks like the old Reef Lounge is re-opening. Promising and solves for the outbound Virgin HND route, but the return route is still a problem for the domestic leg (if returning to Syd/Mel/BNE or anywhere else).

You can pay entry because VA have made it clear that they won't be offering lounge access where they have to pay to cover pax entry.

If they are serious about capturing any corporate traffic, and repeated corporate/and or premium yielded traffic, they would soon understand that a few extra few bills for lounge access for its passengers, is just a drop in the ocean compared to the upside in yield, extra revenue.

You are operating a product marked as Business Class into a premium focused airport- Haneda. You offer lounge access. Period.

I hope it’s something the new management after today’s era, fix pronto.

It may depend on whoever the 'Cornerstone Investor' may be in VA from a trade sale, if there is one in the future.

Otherwise, it's stay the course with the VA's Value Carrier/LCC approach mandated by Private Equity which largely follows the Euro legacies and the Domestic/Short Haul Int'l of the US3.
