So I'm in the process of booking several more flights with CX over the next few months and looking farther ahead as well for the 3rd qtr of 2015. How do you calculate the Club Sector earn on flights?

Currently I'm flying to HKG for a shoot, which gives me 2096 miles, so how do they work out the Club Sectors earned? (I flew J BKK-SIN in December and from memory, I think it garnered me 2.5 Club Sectors?? When they status matched, they were wiped so I can refer to it anymore.)

QF is easy - you can do a quick mileage calculation on their website and the SCs get displayed in the results. CX though doesn't show that kind of info, and all I'm seeing is the % earn (1, 1.1, 1.25 etc)

Or am I missing something very fundamental and it's right in front of me?

On Cathay Pacific a single flight number in the economy cabin in V class or higher earns one segment.
The lower fare classes (S Q N) earn 0.25 of a segment. OTHERS NOTHING.
Each PEY flight number earns 1.1 segments.
Each business flight number earns 1.25 segments
Each first class flight number earns 1.5 segments.

So you previous BKK-SIN round trip was 2 flight numbers each at a 1.25 multiplier. Or 2.5 segments as you noted.

Each partner airline will have its own percentages for each of their fare classes.

Happy wandering
