Club Jetstar Certainly Seems to Pay for Itself.

Last time I looked it was about $10-$15 discount per flight for a Club member, so would need to take around 5 Jetstar flights a year to come out ahead?
Yes, although some comments above indicated that when there’s a sale, having advance access on really popular routes can make the difference between getting the sale, or not at all.

So it could be as little as one flight that makes the difference, depending on your travel patterns.

If you were just doing SYD-MEL/BNE, where there are dozens of flights, the advance access to sales might not be worthwhile.

Yeah I pretty much just fly the golden triangle domestically, often at short notice, so I used to avoid Jetstar as much as possible, but it's getting harder to find reasonable prices on QF and VA if not booking months in advance.
