OzForex have announced that the OzForex Travel Card is to be closed and withdrawn from the market. For anyone using one of these cards, you can:

  1. Continue to use your card through to 30 November 2015
  2. Load additional funds on to your card until 1 September 2015
  3. Remove any existing funds from your card.

According to the FAQ, to remove existing funds from your card, Australian ATM fees will be waived from 1st September, or from 7th September you'll be able to do an EFT payment to your Australian bank account.

I recevied the email. The thing is I cut up my cards and threw them out after the first time I used it. I think there is maybe $1 or so left on the card.

I decided to call up, prompted by a reminder SMS. I was on hold for 45 minutes but eventually got through and arranged the refund. In all honesty, it probably wasn't worth the wait on the phone when I found out the amount, but I am getting it back and without fees.
