Cloncurry Airport temporarily closed

Cloncurry Airport is closed until the end of this month after monsoon rain a couple of weeks ago damaged the runway. Resurfacing works are underway now.

Qantas is rebooking passengers to Mount Isa, 120km away, and the TSV-CNJ-ISA flight is skipping the CNJ stop for the time being.

That might be a problem medically. When I worked in Mt Isa you couldn’t use a road ambulance to transport patients from Cloncurrry between 5pm and 7am because of the risk of damage by kangaroos. So all transports by the Flying Doctor.

What roads? Wont be a lot left once the water goes down.
The road was a goat track before anyway....
Railway probably damaged as well.
Roads around CNS are still not repaired from Cyclone Jasper 2 years ago.
Nothing happens North of BNE in Qld.
