A few years back looked at click frenzy airfares deals & they seemed quite good.

Looked at the current 29 hour sale & airfares don’t seem that special at all, compared with the emails received last week & the week before.

Has anyone else noticed this ?

Is click frenzy dying as a form of discounting & just become another crowded advertising method ?

I've seen nothing out of the ordinary, eg 20% off storewide type offers with an increased cashback etc. These offers appear many times throughout the year so they are, IMO, ordinary.

think Click Frenzy might have run its race.

2 or 3 years back someone, can't remember whether it was an airline or tour operator, had date specific departures out of BNE & SYD to LAX during Dec/Jan that were very cheap, as long as you sticked to those dates & didn't try to vary them.

Obviously, those dates were less popular. I remember I enquired, but was too slow & they all sold out.

Maybe Click Frenzy should have said to advertisers, do at least one specific special (& verify it) to get special advertising rate. Spent 20 mins & didn't see one thing that sounded the least bit special.

eg. one airline could say something like this

fly SYD/LAX 25DEC(or 24DEC) or BNE or MEL/LAX & come home either of 2 dates & for each option there are 40 seats, 1st in best dressed, same price for kids or kids at adult prices. Who wants to waste time looking for things that might not even exist ?
