Clearing customs in BNE ?

We are flying Virgin Australia LAX-BNE-CHC next year. We will arrive at BNE at 6:30 AM and connect to another VA flight to CHC at 8:30AM
Do we clear customs in BNE or can we transit to the connecting flight without clearing customs?
If we have to clear customs in BNE, is 2 hours enough time to do that and still make the connecting flight ?
