Have encountered a new glitch in the ever problematic world of Qantas reward ticketing today.

I made a booking for a JAL flight yesterday. By this morning, still no e-ticket issued, so I made the usual phone call requesting follow up.

Shortly after, the booking status changed to ‘ticketed’ on JAL’s MMB.

However, several hours later, I’m yet to receive an email from QF with the usual e-ticket itinerary PDF. When I click the ‘email itinerary’ request under Qantas’ MMB, I receive the following message:

An error has occured [sic] while trying to send a copy of the itinerary

I’m also yet to see an actual ticket number anywhere, and the old Finnair method appears to have gone the same way as Royal Jordanian.

Not overly concerned given JAL is marking the booking as ticketed, but assume this is worth following up at some point?

Have you checked APIS has the minimum of DoB?

Yeah, all filled in. Also, when I hover over the cancel or change buttons, it doesn’t show the usual “this booking is processing” pop up indicative of incomplete ticketing (which it did before I called today).

The CheckMyTrip app reinstated eTicket numbers.

Yes, but they tend to be hesitant to help unless the booking in question is an OWA booking.

Oh that’s good to know. I’ve just tried it and it has confirmed I have an eticket number which is a relief.

Strange to not receive an email though, have never encountered that before - will hold hope that it’s still on the way.
