Citi's advertising a freebie SMH sub (26wk Fri-Mon) with Citi Gold

I suppose this isn't particularly helpful (and those in the know already have a deeply discounted sub or a free, sponsored sub) but Fairfax is giving it away with Citi gold card applications now.

Seems pretty interesting, those who have missed out the Fee Free for life promotion would probably be interested in this.

Not a good deal, as the T&C shown below ......

1. No Annual Fee will be charged in the first year providing you meet a minimum account spend of $1,000 each statement period from the time that you activate your card. I'm not advocating this particular offer at all - just pointing out the offer in case there is a more generous offer for new cardholders in future.

As I mentioned, SMH is given away free as this weekend/4day offer at different times, through sponsorship deals.

I'll try to update this thread should such a deal become available - so that the Citi F4L cardholders can add to their future recycling bins.
